DetailsPhilips Healthcare (Cleveland, OH) has an entry level opening for an EHS Engineer to join our existing team. This position provides support to a diversified manufacturing site with approximately 1000 employees that is ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.
The person selected will consult with the other EHS professionals at the site and provide cost-effective guidance, consultation, and options to the facility with respect to operational goals, corporate policies/practices, and regulatory requirements. This position provides the opportunity for project and program support that is technically and professionally challenging.
•Provide support of a team effort to insure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations; Philips policies/programs; and state/local regulations.
•Support maintenance of EHS management systems, plans and procedures related to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
•Support waste minimization and pollution prevention activities.
•Support sustainability efforts.
•Support compliance programs in the areas of air emissions, hazard materials/waste management, toxic substance control.
•Prepare and/or deliver employee EHS training (classroom and electronically).
•Perform Risk Assessments and Hazard Evaluations.
•Perform EHS evaluations of process/ equipment modifications and facility changes.
•Establish and carry out written occupational safety and health programs to reduce recognizable hazards and comply with federal, state and local regulations and corporate policies.
•Provide support to the sites Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) management system.
